Guy Shackle has over ten years experience of design for education gained at a number of architectural practices, and he is an RIBA Client Design Advisor.
Built work undertaken prior to his recent appointment to Curl la Tourelle Architects includes a major extension to Addey & Stanhope School in Deptford featured as a case study in Building Bulletin 93: Acoustic Design in Schools and the remodelling of Eglinton Primary & Children's Centre for Greenwich Council. He also worked on a major extension to New Woodlands, Lewisham, a special school catering for pupils with behavioural emotional and social difficulties.
Guy has been involved in the Building Schools for the Future programme since its inception working on outline designs for three major secondary school projects for Greenwich Council, one of the first four pathfinder authorities. He has worked extensively with E.C. Harris LLP on a variety of education projects in both London and Plymouth.
He joined Curl la Tourelle Architects as an associate to oversee the construction of a new secondary school in Crawley. He has been accepted as an RIBA Client Design Advisor focusing on education projects.
